Happy mother's day

Just so that this week doesn't pass without a single post, here's a quick snapshot of the fingerprint painting I made with the boys to give to our beloved grandmas on mother's day today.

I found the lovely tree printable at One fab day, it was originally designed as a wedding guest book alternative, but I thought it would be just as wonderful as a gift for the grandmas. I printed it on white A4 cardstock and let the kids make fingerprints for about 5 minutes - just the right time span before they'd run off to play...

Oh, and I got two fantastic cake recipe books from my boys: Lindsay Landis' Cookie Dough Lover's Cookbook and Sally McKenney's Sally's Baking Addiction. Guess I'll spend more time in the kitchen again :-D
